Quick start

1. Download the sample Excel template.
2. Fill in your own steps, following the example row format.
3. Upload the file using the Import Excel button.

Each row is one step. If multiple rows share the same Group and ScriptName, they belong to the same script.

Required columns

• Group: script group name, for example Default.
• ScriptName: the script name that appears in the app.
• Step: the step number inside that script, starting at 1.
• Action: the action to perform on this step.

Optional columns

• Selector: the page element to interact with, such as #login or .button.
• Value: text to type, a URL for goto, or the expected select value.
• Expected: text to check when using assert.
• Retries: how many extra attempts after a failed run, 0-5. Leave empty for 0.
• Repeat: how many times the script runs for flaky detection, 1-10. Leave empty for 1.

Retries and Repeat apply to the whole script: put them on the first row, or merge the cell down the block. Rows of the same script that give different values are rejected.

Supported actions

Use one of these actions:

goto, click, doubleClick, rightClick, hover, type, clear, select, assert, assertEquals, assertContains, wait, waitForVisible, waitForHidden, waitForText, waitForEnabled, screenshot, scroll, pressKey, executeJs, uploadFile, dragAndDrop, navigateBack, navigateForward, refresh.

Example

This example creates a script named Login inside the Default group.

Keep the same Group and ScriptName for every step in the same script.

Common checks

• Step must be a number and start at 1.
• Action must be one of the supported actions.
• goto needs a valid URL in the Value column.
• type and select need a Value.
• assert needs an Expected value.
• Retries is 0-5 and Repeat is 1-10, or left empty.
